Some horses need more care than others and they will be kept in a small group and may receive more or different feed than listed above . We will make this decision on our own depending on the current state of your horse.
Our horses are kept in groups to keep them from being exposed to new horses if at all possible.
Many performance horses are kept in a stall based on our staffs opinion. After you have purchased your horse it is up to you if you would like it turned out or to continue personal stall board.
Board: Board is due weekly. If you fail to pay your board your horse will be marked as "unaccounted for" and at risk of being re-posted for sale. If you pay the balance on your bill before the horse is resold he/she will remain yours, if you fail to do so no payments made will be eligible for refund. These rules are in place to assist in insuring no horses are held without the intention of providing them with a home thus lowering their chance of finding one.
Disclaimer: Although we do provide as much information as possible when listing each horse we did not have the honor of raising each of them therefore we have no way of knowing their entire history. These horses have many hidden talents and unlocked potential! All purchases are final and all horses are sold as is.
Pick-Up: Arranging pick-up is simple! Contact us a minimum of 72 hours prior to your desired pick-up date and time. Pick-up hours are provided on our home page.
If you require a health certification a vet visit needs to be arranged when you purchase your horse as your information must be on this documentation and you will not be able to use ours. While each horse comes guaranteed with a current coggins if you require a coggins at the time of pickup for hauling or boarding purposes please be sure to let us know at the time of purchase. In some cases we may still be waiting on a current coggins from previous owners or vets. If no coggins is in hand will have a vet come out and pull a new coggins for you, generally return time is 5-7 business days.
Delivery: We do offer hauling to several locations, but hauling may not always be available to your area at the time of purchase. Please see our hauling section for information on upcoming trips and independent haulers. You can coordinate with us directly if you are along one of the posted routes or would like your horse taken to one of those locations. If you need an independent hauler you will have to coordinate with them directly. We will assist, when possible, to arrange and coordinate delivery with one of our regular haulers although all transports are conducted through a third party and are not affiliated with FHHC.
Note: Please we aware of the size, weight and height of the horse you are purchasing! Draft horse and draft cross horses are often to big to fit in a two horse trailer (especially a straight load) or exceed weight limits. We can often advise the ease of loading your horse based off of our personal experience with the animal, but we use large open concept trailers and many horse have never been loaded in two horse straight loads or slant loads with a single door. We will always assist in loading horses if needed as long as your trailer is rated to haul the horses weight and is in proper working condition. Please check your tires and axles before picking up we would much rather assist in making repairs to your trailer before it is loaded with precious livestock!
Disclaimer: Pick-up/Delivery should be arranged at the time of purchase if possible. Even a tentative date is better than none. If you or your hauler is a no show at your scheduled pick up time additional charges may apply. All payments should be arranged before pick-up is scheduled. If you are using a hauler please let them know if you are having issues with payment as your horse will not be released until paid in full. Additional pick-up instructions are listed on our home page. As stated in the board section of this page, once board begins it’s to be paid weekly. If you are making payments on your horse(s) payments are also due weekly. If you fail to make your weekly payment your horse will be at risk of being re-posted for sale.
